Bulk Hair
A type of human or synthetic fibre sold in large quantities for use in hair extensions and wigs. It is usually available in weft form which can be cut for the desired length or woven into hair strand by strand using a glue gun or hot pot. Bulk hair can also be backcombed and twisted to create a dreadlock style. Toyokalon and KK (Kanekalon) fibres are the most common bulk hair types. Toyokalon is curly and wavy and can be backcombed and twisted into synthetic dreadlocks. It is a little too glossy to pass for real hair under close scrutiny though. KK fibre is less glossy and more natural looking than Toyokalon and can be woven and sealed with heat.
Afro Kinky bulk can be applied in two ways: Braiding and Bonding. Braids can be complete or partial, they involve braiding the bulk hair into the growing hair and can add length, volume and adornment to any afro hairstyle. It can be twisted with other strands of hair to create a textured style or fused with the growing hair in a strand by strand method to give a very natural afro look.
